So what’s it all about?
A friend of mine started a 365 back in September 2009. His idea was to take a picture of himself every single day for an entire year, hence 365. He decided to step outside the box and make his images as imaginative and as creative as possible. His only rule was there had to be one image a day and that it had to contain a part of him. Unfortunately I am not overly creative and would not have the time needed to setup, take the shot and then Photoshop it, I needed another idea. If I was going to commit to a 365 then I needed to ensure whatever I did was easily accessible from wherever I maybe at anytime. Weblogs seem to be getting more and more popular and working with technology all the time this seemed like the sensible answer. I could set myself up a website easily enough and I could update it from any computer, iPhone, email, Facebook and Twitter. Wherever I happened to be providing I had access to a computer or a phone I could update my blog.
http://www.mysecretworld.co.uk is a domain name that I have had for 8 years now. I saw a friend of a of my brother inlaw Jim had called their MSN gallery ‘my secret world’ and thought that would make a good domain name which could be used for almost anything. Over the past 8 years the domain name has been used for many things and by many people. It has been used as a project site for testing various designs and applications and it has even been used by a friend of mine as a Doctor Who fan site which proved popular at the time.
So MSW-365 has been born. My only rule; update at least once day!
